The Legoland Movie Theater is heavily inspired from the Ashland Movie Theater, located in Ashland, Virginia. Designed by RVA LUG, the theater does an amazing job of replicating the details of the real version, such as the colorful retro wall.
JCh built the Pacific Theater which happens to be showing Cars 3, released June 16th, 2017. The theater uses a traditional three-sided marquee to advertise the movie, and uses an Art Deco architectural style for the building.
Inspired from the official LEGO mini modular collection, Michael Thomas built his own mini version of the Palace Cinema set. The set includes custom stickers and neat details which would fit perfectly alongside the official set.
Lia Chan uploaded plenty of micro Dallas builds to keep us happy for awhile. Her builds (in order) include tiny versions of Dallas City Hall, Resource Center of Dallas, AT&T Stadium, Nasher Sculpture Center, Wyly Theatre and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. All of these models would make great additions to any microscale city!
-Joro- designed the Elbphilharmonie (located in Hamburg) for a LEGO architecture contest. The concert hall uses some great technique in the dark red base portion of the building.
